The Haydon Hill extension was opened on 24 August 2021, linking the Greenway to central Aylesbury via the Emerald Way. The route was designed by Greenways, who obtained all the permission and supervised construction, Greenfords built it, Buckinghamshire Council were the client and Sustrans were the funders.

This is the second part of the Buckinghamshire Greenway to be opened. It connects with Aylesbury Vale Parkway Station and the Waddesdon Greenway to the north, and with the Council’s Diamond Cycling route south to the Town Center.
Greenways prepared the project document and managed the construction by a local contractor – Greenford Ltd – all on behalf of the County Council.
