Greenways and Cycleroutes are proud to confirm that the Brue bridge in Glastonbury, part of the Willow Walk, is now ready to use.
The path leading up to it will be resurfaced by 3 October. We also have plans for some benches along the way, but those will take us a little longer.
Greenways was asked to refresh the Willow Walk with funding from the Glastonbury Town Deal. We have been overwhelmed by the time and energy of the friends of the path – the Friday Folk – who have put in more Fridays than they expected to make the path better.
Martin Silburn and Mark James have worked tirelessly for weeks to redeck and repaint the bridge. Contract work has been carried out by MP and KM Goldings. We are immensely grateful to everyone concerned.
